Warning Dream: A War of Words

Dream Encounter: A War of Words

Recently, I was given a stark dream in which I was given instruction in the wisdom ways of God for the purposes of prayer and to forewarn us, so we do not get caught up in the enemy’s schemes.

Paul, the apostle stated that we are not to be ignorant of the devil’s schemes. In my dream filled with dark clouds and shifty rolling atmospheres, I heard the penetrating voice of the Holy Spirit say, “Be careful in the coming months. There is a War of Words being waged!”

I woke up out of this encounter, knowing that this was a personal word for my own life and that I was to put a “watch over my own speech.” Yet, I also knew this word had ramifications for the Body of Christ, and also that this battle would be fought on a national and international scene. We have entered into “A War of Words.”

Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 4:30 states, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” The context of this verse is about our speech. In verse 29 it states, “Let no corrupt communications proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.”

Every day, each of us is engaged in a battle of words, the words of our mouth. There is the power of life and death in our speech. The choice is ours to make!

Let us choose life and yield our tongues unto the Lord!

Let us not succumb to the power of darkness, but let us align ourselves with the Kingdom of God and His ways.

The devil is like a roaring lion seeking someone whom he may devour (see 1 Peter 5:8). But it does not need to be you, and you do not need to be the devil’s next meal.

Rather, let us arise and not return insult for insult, but sow kindness instead (see Romans 12:21). After all, God’s ways are higher (see Isaiah 55:8-9) than ours. And we are called to live and act in a higher realm—in the Kingdom dimension—where the Sermon on the Mount counts and where every act of kindness and every word of gentleness turns away wrath.

Remember, Isaiah 54:17 says, “‘No weapon against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me!’ says the Lord.”

Let’s fight the war of words fully submitted to the Holy Spirit in love, wisdom, and the fruit of the Spirit, speaking life wherever we go.

With Strong Exhortation,
